Even during her Editorial & Design studies in Amsterdam, Martine de Ruiter found great satisfaction in painting. And she still does, now that she's a full-time painter and creates art that can best be described as abstracted expressionist. Martine creates powerful art with palette pieces. Palette pieces are dried paint remnants from the palette, which create relief, contrast, and a unique style. In her work, Martine strives to suggest movement. The palette piece technique contributes to this. Martine exhibits regularly; see Exhibitions for more information.
"I continue to explore and experiment within my own technique, and I'm still surprised. It's very enjoyable and refreshing to work this way."
